Description
Introduction

ULP series ultra-low pressure composite membrane is a reverse osmosis membrane element made of aromatic polyamide material, specially designed for desalination of surface water and groundwater, and widely used in packaged drinking water, boiler feed water, food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Features

High Desalination Rate
The desalination rate of the ULP series membrane element is as high as 99.5%, which is about 2% higher than that of traditional low-pressure membranes, which means that it can effectively remove most dissolved salt impurities and reduce the residual salt in every 100 liters of water to about one-third of the original. Such performance is particularly suitable for applications with extremely high water quality requirements, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, food processing, and high-end industrial water production.

Low Operating Pressure
The operating pressure refers to the pressure required to pass water through the reverse osmosis membrane in the water treatment system. The operating pressure of the ULP series membrane is only about two-thirds of that of conventional low-pressure membranes. For example, the operating test pressure of the ULP32-8040 model is only 150 psi (1.03 MPa), while traditional low-pressure membranes usually require more than 225 psi (1.55 MPa). Low operating pressure directly reduces energy consumption, and the power consumption per cubic meter of pure water produced is reduced by about 20%-30%.

High Water Production
Under test conditions (25°C water temperature, 2000ppm inlet water salt content, 150 psi pressure), the ULP32-8040 membrane can produce 10,500 gallons (about 39.7 cubic meters) of water per day, which is more than 15% higher than the traditional membrane. This performance makes it particularly suitable for large-scale pure water needs on an industrial scale, and is widely used in food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Applications

Packaged drinking water
ULP series ultra-low pressure composite membranes can efficiently remove impurities such as soluble salts, heavy metals, and microorganisms in water, and are widely used in the production of mineral water, purified water, and other packaged drinking water.

Boiler feed water
ULP series ultra-low pressure composite membranes can prevent industrial boiler scaling and extend the service life of equipment by removing salt from raw water. They are particularly suitable for power plants and chemical plants.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing
ULP series ultra-low pressure composite membranes can efficiently remove impurities such as organic matter, inorganic salts, and microorganisms, produce high-quality pure water that meets the requirements of the pharmacopoeia, and ensure the safety of pharmaceutical production.

Seawater desalination
ULP series ultra-low pressure composite membranes can be used to reduce the salt content in seawater desalination water, reduce the burden on subsequent high-pressure reverse osmosis membranes, and improve the overall system efficiency.

Agricultural irrigation
ULP series ultra-low pressure composite membranes can prevent soil salinization and increase crop yields by reducing the salt content of irrigation water.
