Overview
TL MBBR Carrier, used in Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge (IFAS) and moving bed biofilm reaction (MBBR) system. The wastewater goes through suspending bio carrier of MBBR reactor, forming biological membrane on the surface of carriers gradually. With the action of microbial on the biological membrane, wastewater is purified. MBBR carrier can move freely in the reactor with the mixing of the water. The specific weight of the MBBR carrier is slightly smaller than that of water, and as the attached biofilm grows, the specific gravity becomes larger, making the carrier suspended in the wastewater. The carrier is designed to provide a large protected surface area for biofilms and optimal conditions for bacterial culture. In general, the surface area per cubic meter of the carrier is greater than 500 square meters.
