Introduction
The screw press dehydrator is a device that achieves solid-liquid separation by physical extrusion. It is widely used in food processing, chemical industry, environmental protection and other fields. Its main structure includes a feed hopper, a screw shaft, a filter cartridge, a discharge port and a drive device. When working, the material enters from the feed hopper and moves along the filter cartridge under the push of the screw shaft. As the screw shaft pitch gradually decreases, the pressure on the material gradually increases, the internal moisture is squeezed out and discharged through the filter cartridge, and the dehydrated solid material is discharged from the discharge port. This design enables the screw press dehydrator to effectively reduce the moisture content of the material, reduce the volume and weight, and improve the efficiency of subsequent processing or transportation.
Working Principle
During operation, sludge enters the filter cylinder through the inlet and is pushed towards the discharge outlet by the spiral blades of the screw shaft. As the pitch between the spiral blades gradually decreases, the pressure on the sludge increases, initiating the dewatering process under differential pressure. Water is expelled through the gaps between the fixed and moving rings. The equipment relies on the self-cleaning function between the fixed and moving plates to clean the filter gaps and prevent clogging. After thorough dewatering, the sludge cake is discharged from the outlet by the advancing action of the screw shaft.

Efficient Dehydration Capacity
The screw press dehydrator uses screw extrusion technology, which can reduce the moisture content of solid materials to 30%-50%. This range is about 20% lower than traditional dehydration equipment (moisture content 50%-70%), which significantly improves the Dehydrating effect.
Low Energy Consumption
The motor power of the screw press dehydrator is generally 3-15kW, and the power consumption per ton of material processing is about 0.1-0.2 kWh. Compared with similar centrifugal dehydration equipment (power consumption per ton is about 0.5-1 kWh), its The energy saving range can reach more than 50%. This low-energy design significantly reduces the company's long-term operating costs.
Low Running Costs
The screw press dehydrator achieves efficient separation of materials by selecting screens with different apertures (0.25mm-1.0mm) without adding chemical components such as flocculants, so that the processing cost per ton of materials can be controlled within 10 yuan. Compared with Traditional equipment that requires pharmaceutical assistance (processing cost 30-50 yuan/ton) can save about 70% of the cost.
Large Processing Capacity
Taking a standard screw press dewatering machine as an example, its processing capacity can reach 5-20 tons per hour, which is more than twice that of a traditional plate and frame filter press. Under continuous operation, the daily processing capacity of this dehydrator can reach 120 tons, which is suitable for large-scale industrial production.
