Overview

 

RO Membrane Housing is the core pressure-bearing component of the reverse osmosis system, which is used to encapsulate and protect the reverse osmosis membrane element. Its structure consists of a high-strength fiberglass or stainless steel body, aluminum alloy end cap, sealing ring, and pressure-bearing components, which can withstand high-pressure environments and ensure that the membrane element maintains structural integrity during long-term high-load operation.

 

We provide two types of membrane housings: stainless steel RO membrane housing and fiberglass RO membrane housing, and three sealing solutions: clamp type, flange type, and built-in type, to meet different working conditions. The clamp type achieves quick installation through circumferential compression, the flange type relies on bolt preload to ensure sealing reliability, and the built-in type adopts an embedded sealing ring design, particularly suitable for scenarios with limited space.

 

Stainless-Steel  RO Membrane Housing

 

The stainless steel RO membrane housing adopts a SUS304/SUS316L stainless steel tube body and end cap, with a built-in silicone O-ring double seal, which is suitable for seawater desalination, industrial wastewater treatment, and other fields under a high-pressure environment. There are two types: seam type and seamless type. The seam type adopts a high-frequency welding process, which is suitable for a conventional pressure environment; the seamless type is formed by hot extrusion.

 

Excellent corrosion resistance
The austenitic stainless steel surface of the stainless steel RO membrane housing makes it easy to form a dense chromium oxide layer, which effectively blocks the penetration of corrosive ions, especially suitable for chlorine-containing medium environments.


Reliable sealing system
The stainless steel RO membrane housing adopts a double sealing structure (silicone O-ring + end face mechanical compression), and the compression amount is accurately controlled in the range of 15%-20% to achieve long-term sealing stability.


Excellent pressure-bearing performance
The cold-drawn seamless steel pipe process is adopted, and the uniformity of the wall thickness of the stainless steel RO membrane shell reaches 0.05mm. With the self-reinforcement treatment technology, the yield strength is increased to more than 600MPa.

Fiberglass RO Membrane Housing

 

The fiberglass RO membrane housing is formed of FRP composite material in one piece, equipped with lightweight end caps and guide groove structures, which are suitable for complex scenes such as ship water purification and mobile emergency water supply. There are two types: port type and side port type. The port type is equipped with standard inlet and outlet pipes, and the side port type adopts a 45° lateral interface design, which is particularly suitable for compact equipment installation.

 

Lightweight design
The density of the composite material used in the fiberglass RO membrane housing is much lower than that of metal, and the winding molding process further optimizes the weight distribution, which is 40% lower than that of stainless steel.


Strong chemical stability
The vinyl ester resin matrix in the FRP composite material has excellent chemical corrosion resistance, which makes the volume change rate of the fiberglass RO membrane housing less than 0.5% in the pH range of 3-11.
