Overview
WSR Roots blower is a positive displacement blower, where the air volume delivered is proportional to the rotational speed. The three-lobed impeller design allows for three cycles of air intake and discharge per rotation by two impellers. Compared to the two-lobe design, this results in reduced air pulsation, smaller load fluctuations, higher mechanical strength, lower noise, and less vibration.

Working Principle
The blower features two impellers mounted on parallel shafts. These impellers, along with the inner surface of the elliptical housing and the impellers themselves, maintaining a minimal clearance all times. As the impellers rotate in opposite directions at a constant speed, the air trapped between the housing and impellers is transported from the intake side to the discharge side.
For Roots blower, whether two-lobed or three-lobed, the compression principle is the same: As the rotor's tip opens towards the discharge port, high-pressure air from the discharge side backflows into the casing, causing compression. This backflow and compression lead to a rapid and intense pressure change within the blower.
